This Privacy Policy describes how MOQers ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our group-buy marketplace, including our website, Pools, and checkout flow.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, username, and optional avatar you upload.
- Pool and reservation data: listings you create as a seller, and units you reserve as a buyer, including quantity and shipping address.
- Payment information: card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — MOQers never stores full card numbers.
- Content you submit: product images, descriptions, listing screenshots (used for optional autofill), and Q&A comments on Pools.
- Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken (such as reserving a unit or posting a question), and basic device/browser information.
2. How we use information
- To operate Pools: tracking reservations, computing live funding progress, and processing charges/payouts when a Pool funds.
- To communicate with you about Pools you've launched or backed, including funding status and seller replies to your questions.
- To detect fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- To improve the product, including using seller-provided listing screenshots to power optional AI autofill of listing fields.
3. How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us operate MOQers, and only as needed for them to perform that function:
- Stripe — payment processing and, for sellers, payout transfers via Stripe Connect.
- Supabase — our database, authentication, file storage, and real-time infrastructure.
- Anthropic — when you use the optional listing-screenshot autofill feature, the images you upload are sent to Anthropic's API to extract structured product fields.
A seller you back a Pool with will see the shipping address and quantity for your reservation, so they can fulfill your order. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain account, Pool, and reservation data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records (such as completed transaction history) may be retained where required by law.
5. Your choices
- You can update your username and avatar at any time from your Profile.
- You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting support.
- Uploading a listing screenshot for AI autofill is optional — sellers can fill in every field manually instead.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access-controlled storage, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
7. Children's privacy
MOQers is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
